ABOUT ME
I have been a practising visual artist for 17 years. In my collage work, I combine painted papers, recycled printed materials, found papers, release printing and my own illustrations and apply them to canvas or wood. My work is abstract with representational elements: my favourite media are gouache and graphite. I create finely detailed renderings of a variety of subjects, ranging across family history and local geography, domestic pets and wildlife, and the natural environment. Having trained formally as a professional calligrapher in the UK, I love to include letterforms as a recurrent motif to layer meaning and mood in my artworks. I work from my studio at M16 Artspace.
